Slack 'n' Hash

Don't Drink The Water!

They Call Me Mellow Yellow

Remember what I said about humans being filthy animals? How often have you wondered, when shaking somebody's hand, if they washed their hands after using the lavatory? If you're anything like me the worry probably nags at you day and night, forcing you into a frenzy of obsessive hand-washing in boiling water, while on those rare moments when you're out of the bathroom you sit in the corner shivering and muttering the words dirty, dirty, dirty!; over and over again. All it takes is for an unwashed hand in the wrong place to bring the fourth member of our star line-up to the front of the stage: Infectious Hepatitis, or hepatitis A as it's better known.

Infectious Hepatitis: Hepatitis A is viral, rather than amoebic or bacterial. Its most famous symptom is jaundice, but other symptoms include abdominal discomfort, fever, tiredness, nausea and loss of appetite.

Infection DC: Ingestion 15
Incubation: 1d10+10 days
Damage: 1d3 Str, 1d3 Dex, 1d3 Cha
Additional Effects: The character must make a DC 15 Fortitude save every hour, or be nauseated for that hour.

The chief advantage of using this disease to harass your PCs is its long incubation time. They could drink contaminated water or eat contaminated food, go on a two-week expedition to the dungeon and on the day they arrive turn so yellow that their company insignia should be a Chiquita sticker.
