- All pages on this site use structured semantic markup. H1 tags are used for main titles; H2, H3 and H4 tags for subtitles.
Accesskeys
Slack 'n' Hash uses accesskeys to aid navigation. Different browsers apply this option in different ways:
- Firefox
- Press
ALT,SHIFTand the accesskey to trigger the link. - Internet Explorer
- Press
ALTand the accesskey to select the link. Then press RETURN. - Opera
- Press
SHIFTandEscapeto bring up a list of accesskeys. Press the relevant accesskey to navigate.
The following accesskeys are available:
- Accesskey 1 returns to the home page.
- Accesskey 2 takes you to the tools page.
- Accesskey 3 takes you to the roleplay page.
- Accesskey 4 takes you to the writing page.
- Accesskey 5 takes you to the code page.
- Accesskey 6 takes you to the roleplay page.
- Accesskey A takes you to the accessibility statement.
- Accesskey C composes an email to the webmaster.
- Each page has a randomly-generated link to another site. Accesskey K takes you there.
- Accesskey L takes you to the links page.
- Accesskey M takes you to the site map.
- Accesskey P takes you to our privacy policy.
- Accesskey R takes you to the most recent article.
- Accesskey S shifts focus to the search bar.
- Accesskey X takes you to a random article.
- Accesskey Z takes you to an article related to the one you are reading.
Navigation
Slack 'n' Hash offers several ways of navigating the site:
- All pages have
rel=next,prev,up,homeandcontentslinks to aid navigation in text-only browsers. - There is a hierarchical menu, located at the top of the page.
- A breadcrumb trail shows the article, and (where applicable) the section and subsection in which it is located. This can be found below the menu.
- A searchbox (accesskey 4) in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
- In the case of articles that have more than one page, two more naviagational tools are available:
- A list of links just below the page heading are linked to every page in the article.
- Links at the bottom of the page direct you to the first, previous, next and last pages in the sequence.
- There is a link to the site map on every page of the article.
